The Hawaii Department of Transportation is currently resurfacing Nimitz Highway and Ala Moana Boulevard between the Kalihi Stream Bridge and Atkinson Drive. On Ala Moana Boulevard there just isn’t enough room for a safe bike lane especially when cars are allowed to park on the makai side. It would be best to have a designated bike path solely for bikes in the park along side of Ala Moana Boulevard. That way bicyclist are protected.
